Archival Collection

This part of the collection includes postcards, journals, letters, buildings plans, military documents, store records, hotel registers and scrap books.  Due to the fragile nature of most of these items, they are generally not exhibited.  They are accessible to researchers at the Petersen Center in Mackinaw City and the Heritage Center on Mackinac Island.  See Researching Mackinac History for more information. Much of the information from this collection is shared through publications and exhibits.
